ABC Radio Launceston, the Rural Report, advised today via Launceston mining leader and safety consultant, David Sadler, that the mining industry and the agricultural sector used to be on a par in term of injuries in the workplace. Now injuries are five times more likely to occur on farms than at a mine site. This is in part due to the improved training and management of risks in mines.
