An Introduction to Mining Series - Kindergarten to Year 4 Readers
The Minerals Council has produced a series of reading booklets developed to target literacy in Early and Middle education, while at the same time presenting interesting and informative aspects of the minerals industry in Australia . The booklets show contemporary exploration, mining and minerals processing practice. They are also designed to address, at a basic level, important issues like occupational health and safety in the workplace and environmental management.
You may download these booklets for your own use but they must not be re-edited without the expressed permission of the Minerals Council of Australia.
If you would like hard copies ring, Fax or E-mail the Tasmanian Minerals Council. One copy each for individuals or to 5 copies each for school groups will be delivered free-of-charge within Tasmania.
