2019 Tasmanian Women in Resources Awards

The Tasmanian Women in Resources Awards is proudly presented by WIMnet Tasmania AusIMM and the Tasmanian Minerals and Energy Council (TMEC) to showcase and encourage the outstanding contributions women make to the mining, minerals processing, manufacturing, engineering and other resource-related industries across the state.


Seven award categories are open for nominations between 1 March and 31 March 2019:

The judging panel will select from the winners of the Exceptional Woman in Engineering and Professional Services, Manufacturing and Non-Executive Role categories to also award one entrant the title of Exceptional Woman in Tasmanian Resources.
The Exceptional Woman in Tasmanian Resources award is made possible with the support of category sponsor: Bell Bay Aluminium.

Winners from the state awards will represent Tasmania in the national competition, culminating in an award ceremony in New South Wales in September 2019. All entrants and winners are recognised as ambassadors and role models who aid the attraction and retention of women in the resources sectors.

The Hon Sarah Courtney MP, Minister for Resources will officially launch the 2019 Tasmanian Women in Resources Awards.
